Will the cooling strategy and storage cover a declared period of water constraint? We calculated evaporation, purge, make-up demand and the crisis water balance, connecting the operating assumptions to the available supply.

The initial synthetic scenario has a water shortfall. Raising usable storage to 2,700 m³ brings the calculated balance to a positive margin of 111–664 m³. The result is conditional on the weather assumptions, with the full hourly series still to complete.

The engineering decision

Carry a quantified storage option into the cooling study.

Complete the hourly weather series, then use a common crisis duration to compare less wet cooling, available alternative supply and net storage capacity. Keep site restrictions and operational availability attached to the same scenario.

This is a synthetic demonstration. The calculated crisis shortfall remains conditional while the complete weather series is missing. The balance covers evaporation, purge, make-up demand and available water during the declared crisis. Initial calculated margin: −788.87 to −235.75 m³. At 2,700 m³ usable storage, with other inputs retained: +111.13 to +664.25 m³. This is a one-lever comparison; the weather series remains incomplete.
